The aesthetics, size and its technological features position the new Peugeot 208 light years ahead of some of its most direct competitors. In a market where this segment is positioned in almost 80% of gasoline cars, less than 20% of diesel cars and the rest divided between hybrids and gas cars, these being the least numerous, the 208 appears with a 100 version % electric.
This is just one example that shows how brands are positioning themselves and taking precedence over an electric mobility scenario. A future that, in principle, will coexist for not a few years with the rest of the engines, including diesel. And it is that segment B has a great diversity of clients. These types of cars predominate in the rental car fleet. It is also the access segment for the youngest and the retirement segment for the oldest. On the occasion of this launch, Peugeot has offered for Europe, through its website, the possibility of making blind pre-orders. They only know the model from the images on the internet and, more importantly, they don't know what its price is. The response has been positive and in Spain, once the 500 euros that entitle the reservation have been deposited, most of the units requested have been in their electric version.
