Well, forget it, Pluto is no longer a planet according to the new regulations of the International Astronomical Union (IAU). So what requirements must a body orbiting the Sun have to be considered a planet?
According to the new regulations of the international organization, a planet is a celestial body that must meet the following requirements
– Orbit around the Sun.
– It has enough mass for its gravity to overcome the rigid body forces and acquire a hydrostatic equilibrium.
– That it has cleared the neighborhood of its orbit.
Thus, Pluto ceased to be a planet by not meeting the third of the requirements. In this way it was established in the Prague convention held in 2006 that the eight planets that make up the Solar System are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Pluto stopped being a planet, to become the prototype of a new type of object, the dwarf planets.
