After concrete evidence of his whereabouts, he was arrested on Thursday evening, the Heilbronn police and the Mosbach public prosecutor announced on Friday.
The arrested person is said to be a 37-year-old. The men managed to escape from the closed psychiatric ward on Wednesday evening.
According to the Heilbronn public prosecutor’s office, they should have pushed out a window on one of the upper floors of the clinic and then roped off. There are indications of joint planning and execution of the outbreak. Therefore, among other things, because of jointly committed prisoner mutiny will be investigated.
According to the police, the search for those who are still fugitives is continuing at full speed. We are currently evaluating new findings and keeping the search pressure upright, it said on Friday morning. For the time being, the officials did not provide any further information on the search for “tactical investigative reasons”.
According to the police, the men are considered dangerous, three of them are convicted criminals. However, it was initially unclear why they were being held in the penal system. According to a spokeswoman for the Heilbronn public prosecutor’s office, there is currently a trial against the fourth man for attempted manslaughter. The charges against the Algerian were brought in July. The “Heilbronn Voice” had previously reported on it.
The penal system is about the accommodation of mentally ill or addictive offenders. The aim is to protect the population and provide therapy for patients. According to the Ministry of Health in Stuttgart, three of the four men who had fled were about to discontinue therapy. dpa
