Quartararo wins at Mugello and Mir takes the podium

Fabio Quartararo has clearly prevailed in the MotoGP Italian Grand Prix and thus achieved his third victory of the season, in a career marked by the death of Jason Dupasquier. The Frenchman, who started from the top position after signing a record pole on Saturday, equals his three wins last year. The start was one of the pending issues for the Yamaha but this time it went well, although he was overtaken by Pecco Bagnaia. Despite losing one position, the start had been good. Quartararo was close to Bagnaia, although the Italian also had rhythm to shoot alone and took a minimal distance with the Frenchman who had to defend himself against the attacks of his compatriot. The joy did not last long for the Italian. Marc Márquez crashed to the ground on the second lap and seconds later, a few corners later, it was Pecco who watched his race end when he was leading, Quartararo regained first position with Zarco glued to his wake. As he crossed the finish line, the Pramac Racing driver took advantage of his top speed to overtake his compatriot with a record time (1: 46.8). But Fabio beat him back instantly. They both beat each other for a lap until the French Yamaha began to pull out everything he had and to impose his rhythm, the MotoGP World Championship leader went off alone and put land in between with his pursuers. Zarco had the bike touched after the crash with Bastianini at the end of the warm up lap. Meanwhile, from behind, the Suzuki were pulling to try to get closer to Zarco and Oliveira and fight for the podium positions. With just a few laps to go, Mir was overtaking Zarco to place third.Quartararo is more of a leader Rins did the same a few laps later but then he would go to the ground with four laps to go. Again he was left without a prize as it happened in Portugal when he fought for victory with Quartararo. Meanwhile, ahead, the world champion could not beat Oliveira who crossed the checkered flag in second position. At first it seemed that Joan Mir was second because the Portuguese rider was sanctioned for exceeding the limits of the track on the last lap, but the Spanish also stepped on the green and they returned the position to the Portuguese and Mir was finally third. In memory of the late Jason Dupasquier, Fabio Quartararo established himself at the top of the MotoGP World Championship standings. He was ahead of Pecco Bagnaia by one point but the Italian’s fall allows him to put him a run ahead. El Diablo once again shows that he is a more mature and very reliable driver, and he is going for the championship.
