In order to contribute to the economic reactivation and boost the businesses, and in a work hand in hand with the businesses, Rappi incorporates 7 restaurants in the Plaza La Perseverancia in Bogotá into its platform.
Now the users of Rappi in Bogotá will be able to enjoy the gastronomic offer of 7 restaurants in the La Perseverancia market square through its platform, without leaving their homes and at their fingertips. Through the restaurants button available in Rappi, users will be able to enjoy the traditional dishes of Tolú, El Primo, La cucharita, Las Verde del Huila and La Esquina de Mary, El buen gusto del Pacifico and La Piazola, restaurants located in the emblematic square.
The Solidarity Menu movement, with its allies: the Foundation Take a Child by the Hand, Colombia Cuida Colombia, the Association of Food Banks of Colombia, Ábaco, Coca Cola, Rappi and Sierra Nevada trained the owners and workers of these restaurants to enter this digital ecosystem, and implement its home system with all biosafety protocols, with the aim of boosting businesses and contributing to economic reactivation.
“The pandemic has not gone away and the critical economic situation it generated has not ended either. The Horeca sector (Hotels, Restaurants and Cafeterias) continues to be one of the most affected by the lack of income and low sales and for us it has been a great experience to be able to accompany them in these training sessions so that they can operate safely at through the app and thus see an increase in their income. Additionally, it is a pride to continue preserving that gastronomic tradition of the city, a great cultural heritage of Bogotá such as the Plaza de La Perseverancia. ”, Affirms Emiliano Moscoso, forerunner of the Solidarity Menu movement and owner and founder of Sierra Nevada.
For Matías Laks, general manager of Rappi for Colombia, the incorporation of these restaurants in the square is a reaffirmation of the company’s commitment to the country’s industry and economy. ¨ We are very proud to be able to add 7 restaurants in La Perseverancia market place to our portfolio. At Rappi, we continually seek to be an ally for thousands of businesses, who leverage us to offer their offer and reach more users every day. We hope that more restaurants from all the market places of Bogotá will join in and can find in us a way to continue operating and taking their dishes to Colombian homes¨.
