Russia beat Finland in the match on the second day of group B of Euro 2020 . A goal from Aleksei Miranchuk gave Cherchesov’s team a victory that is worth gold (the first in this European Championship), and that allows them to stay alive in the fight to be in the round of 16. The defeat would have made the host’s pass very difficult, if not impossible, as Finland was placed with six points.
The first half was marked by intensity. Finland showed a very different image to that of Denmark, they went out in search of the goal and the play was about to go well for them.
