Not many days ago we told you on this same channel Seat’s plans regarding TGI technology, in which natural gas is the protagonist. If we talk about electricity supply, it is because the future should go towards a plurality of options that are synonymous with efficiency and sustainability, always through exhaustive compliance with current emission regulations.
In the first quarter of 2019, the Seat group released the script for the next few years in the world of electrification. Before 2022, the brand will have offered a total of six electric models, both in plug-in and 100% electric versions. On the one hand, Seat will launch in the next León, as with the current Tarraco, a plug-in hybrid version. Like Cupra, which in its commitment to more efficient electrification presented the CUPRA León and CUPRA Formentor in a plug-in hybrid variant, Seat will launch two 100% electric models: the Mii version and the one that concerns us today, the- Born.
At the last Geneva Motor Show we had the opportunity to learn about the concept of this model, Seat’s first 100% electric car. El-Born is a tangible demonstration of the maturity reached by the Spanish manufacturer in terms of digitization. This model will respond to the electric revolution, democratizing the market with an efficient and economical bet: el-Born, with more than 400 km of autonomy, will not reach 20,000 euros in price. I believe that we all agree that electric cars are one of the options that has less polluting technologies, that their fiscal and economic benefits are true and that if we had infrastructure to be able to drive them without limitations as well as the economic capacity to be able to acquire it, we would not hesitate to have one.
This model will soon become the pioneer in responding to almost everything that I have previously explained. I say almost everything because the pending issue is the issue of infrastructures , which seems to finally begin to start with the activation of various projects by important agents in the electricity industry.
