Seat has been able to read this transformation in the business model and has exemplified it with the launch of the Seat Mó sub-brand, which focuses on offering 100% electric multimodal mobility services. After a year of life, Seat Mó electric motorcycles have traveled more than 1.2 million kilometers through the city of Barcelona, becoming one of the main motorsharing operators in the Catalan city.

For this reason, and taking advantage of the celebration of its first anniversary, Seat Mó opens its doors to the corporate mobility business to offer a multimodal, fast, efficient and sustainable mobility service to companies. For this, it will make its range of electric vehicles (scooters, motorcycles and cars) available to collaborating companies such as Merling Properties, Hotel Mandarin Oriental Barcelona and Hotel ME Sitges Terramar .
A tailored service
Collaboration with companies is essential to achieve the objective of a sustainable and silent city that is so much pursued in Barcelona. “Throughout this year, we have managed to make mobility accessible and affordable thanks to our 100% electric multimodal mobility products and services, ” says Lucas Casanovas, director of Seat Mó.
In this sense, Merlin Properties will have at its disposal 3 cars, 10 Mó 125 motorcycles and 10 Mó 65 scooters for its employees at the Torre de Glòries . The ME Sitges Terramar Hotel will offer the possibility of renting scooters and motorcycles from Mó to its clients, in the same way that the Mandarin Oriental will do it by adding the Cupra Formentor PHEV to its fleet. In addition, Seat Mó will also collaborate with La Residencia Universitaria Sarrià so that its students can travel economically, sustainably and efficiently around the city.
A successful anniversary
A year ago, Seat Mó began its journey in the world of motosharing service and subscription. Today there are more than 732 motorcycles that circulate between Barcelona and l’Hospitalet de Llobregat after more than 100,000 downloads of the Seat MÓtosharing mobile application, developed by Seat: CODE .
This commitment by Catalan citizens has prevented the emission of approximately 60 tons of CO2, but has also reduced the city’s decibels by 4.5 million. Traffic is also rewarded by that choice, saving them about 30 minutes a day commuting to work or school. A first step, that of shared mobility, which will also bear fruit in the final purchase of the product .
