According to the information, the 48-year-old driver of a pickup truck drove into another pickup truck from behind at the Mühlenberg-Nord rest area near Leisnig.
According to a spokeswoman for the police, the 58-year-old driver of the transporter in front had previously reduced the speed. The twelve injured, four men and eight women, were taken to nearby hospitals. The injured are therefore between the ages of 20 and 60.
