Show off with a 'hands-free' breast pump integrated into your bra, portable, discreet and cordless: a whole innovation in breast pump

Going back to work while you’re still breastfeeding includes having to express your milk multiple times during the workday. Can you imagine being able to have a ‘hands-free’ breast pump that works while you continue with your tasks, is silent and goes unnoticed ?

Well, it exists. It’s called Elvie Pump. The model and mother Valeria García, wore it during London Fashion Week under her bra that at first glance looks like breastfeeding pads, but is actually two very small and light breast pumps.

The model, a mother of two, walked for Marta Jakubowsk wearing a black blazer and pantsuit. Under the jacket, the model discovered a black bra, where you could see the cups of the breast pump.

A ‘light’ breast pump

The newly launched Elvie Pump claims to be “the world’s first silent portable breast pump .” No wires and no lack of special nursing garments. It only takes a few seconds to attach the pump to the small container and place it on the chest.

Being small and light, the Elvie Pump is worn inside a normal nursing bra, making it a true ‘hands free’.

It’s also quiet, so you can pump anytime, anywhere, without people noticing.

You can also connect it to the free Elvie Pump app to monitor your milk volume in real time, track the pumping history of each breast, and control the pump remotely.

Too much technology for something as natural as breastfeeding, but without a doubt a revolution in the world of breast pumps, since it allows you to continue with your normal life while you express your milk discreetly without anyone noticing.

It is not for sale yet, but the start up has a waiting list for those who want to get the product. In October it will be available in the UK for a price of 429 pounds ( 483 euros ) for a double unit and 229 pounds ( 258 euros ) for a single pump. After the FDA approval that is being processed, by the end of the year it will also be available in the United States and on Amazon for $ 479 (410 euros) the double unit. Not suitable for any pocket.

Breastfeeding in children older than one year: breastfeeding from 12 months is not spoiling

The first thing that caused me doubt when writing the post was the title. I have often heard the terms prolonged breastfeeding to refer to children older than 12 months who are still nursing. Or breastfeeding in older children. And yet, I get the impression that these terms refer to something that is not normal, as if breastfeeding had to have a short duration or children beyond the age of 2 years were considered too old to breastfeed.

My baby is very distracted while breastfeeding: why it happens and how to get...

During the first weeks of life, breastfed babies often only want to be at their mother's breast. The shots are long (practically one with another), the baby's movements are slow and calm, and the exchange of glances between mother and child is constant.

Mixed breastfeeding in twins: how to organize to feed two babies

The WHO recommends that babies under six months be exclusively breastfed. Mothers who have twins or fraternal twins are capable of producing milk for both of them, since we know that the greater the stimulation, the greater the production of milk; women in these cases can produce... up to 2 liters of milk a day!

Does your baby "tune in" to the nipple while nursing? Why does it do...

Does your baby play and touch the nipple that is free while he is sucking on the other one? This is a behavior popularly known as "tuning" (the child moves the nipple as if tuning a radio), and although it is completely normal and natural, it can be uncomfortable for some mothers.
