Clouds, showers and thunderstorms will also be with us for the next few days. From Wednesday, however, improvement is in sight. The outdoor pool beckons.
Offenbach – Summer weather is not to be expected in Germany in the coming days either. Instead, there are many clouds and showers or thunderstorms again and again, said the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach. “Somehow the summer doesn’t really want to get going.”
Currently, the low “Iolaos” with its core over the British Isles is responsible for this; according to the DWD, it only brings moderately warm air.
On Sunday and at the start of the new week, meteorologists expect showers, especially in the north-western half of Germany and on the edge of the Alps. Here, rainstorms, lightning, thunder and strong gusts of wind announced themselves again and again, with a maximum of 23 degrees in it.
It should therefore be slightly warmer and a little drier in the southeast half. There is no fundamental change in the weather on Tuesday either, but maximum values of more than 25 degrees are possible in the south.
According to the DWD, there is hope for more stable and warmer weather from Wednesday and until the coming weekend. Then it will be sunnier in the whole country, with temperatures of up to 30 degrees. “A visit to the lake or the outdoor pool should definitely be more worthwhile,” said meteorologist Marcel Schmid. dpa
