Tech Tats, tattoos are no longer just aesthetics

The American company Chaotic Moon takes a step further in the so-called wearable technology and presents revolutionary temporary tattoos known as Tech Tats , which provide medical information in real time . This can be used for medical prevention, as well as to control the user's vital signs while practicing sports.

The ink that makes up this tattoo is not entirely traditional, but rather an electroconductive paint that is complemented by a microcontroller and fully customizable LEDs.

Attached to the skin, the Tech Tat collects data related to our vital signs, such as stress level, body temperature (thus alert to feverish states), heart rate and blood pressure. This information is sent and monitored on our smartphone through the application specially designed for this purpose.

Based in Austin, this start-up is working on the development and improvement of the prototype, as its technicians have the objective of expanding its benefits, such as geolocation and making payments through Apple Pay-type systems, among others. These wearables could be a real alternative to current activity wristbands.
