Best Overall: Bellevue Syrene

See rates on TripAdvisor

Nothing beats the grandeur of the Bellevue Syrene. Perched atop a picturesque cliff, high above the deep blue Mediterranean, with Mount Vesuvius in the background, the Bellevue Syrene is in an almost otherworldly location. Originally designed in 1750 as a private residence (for an incredibly wealthy local), today the villa-style Bellevue Syrene is easily one of the most stunning hotels on the Amalfi Coast. Unique design touches abound here – just imagine the sleek marble floors, colorful modern art, and gleaming white paint set against the famous cotton candy Sorrento sunset. All rooms face the sea and the Gulf of Naples, and each is exquisitely decorated with contemporary design pieces, stately frescoes, and timelessly elegant antiques. The hotel’s common rooms are simply charming: there’s a glass-enclosed Club Lounge, a serene bathing terrace on a sunny terrace, and a state-of-the-art spa; Additionally, all guests have access to a private beach during their stay. You’ve been warned: if you’re lucky enough to make it to the Bellevue Syrene one day, you’ll never want to leave.
