How is the legend of the red thread?
This story tells that an emperor learned of the existence of a witch in his kingdom. He had her brought home because of a problem she had and ordered him to find the other end of the thread that was tied to his little finger, so that he could take him to what would later be his wife.
The witch looked for him and the thread led her to a peasant girl. Then he called the emperor, but he got angry because he thought that the witch had deceived him. Out of fury, the emperor pushed the peasant woman , who was carrying a baby in her arms, and fell. The baby sustained a large wound on his forehead.
Years later, the wedding day of the emperor arrived, who had not yet seen his wife. When he saw her, he noticed that she had a scar on her forehead.
Meaning of the legend
As we discussed at the beginning of the article, this legend is based on the fate of people who are tied with a red thread and predestined to be together in life.
The color red has always symbolized the love between two people, the love of a couple, although we recognize that there are many types of love throughout our lives, from the moment we are born until we grow up.
