The magical photographs of a group of mothers breastfeeding in the middle of nature

Breastfeeding is one of the greatest gifts we can give our children, as it is the best food they can receive in their first months and years of life. On several occasions we have shared beautiful photo sessions of mothers breastfeeding their children, which transmit that beautiful exclusive moment between them.

Today we want to share with you a session that we have loved, because it is a series of magical and charming photographs of a group of mothers breastfeeding their babies in nature .

The idea for this photo shoot came from Tara Corres, who wanted to do something special on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week . Tara is the mother of two girls and practices prolonged breastfeeding, which has led to some criticism for continuing to breastfeed her daughters beyond the age of three.

For this reason, she decided that together with her friends they would do a photo session, showing the beauty and naturalness of breastfeeding , seeking to empower and support all mothers who breastfeed. With the help of two photographers, Leandra Perez and Samantha Snipes, they organized and planned everything necessary for the photo shoot.

They chose to do it in a river and surrounded by nature, using subtle colors in the clothing and accessories worn by mothers and children. But in addition to posing for this photoshoot, the mothers share a bit of each other’s history, showing that each breastfeeding is unique and special .

In Tara’s case, her goal was to help normalize prolonged breastfeeding , accompanied in the images by her two daughters, of whom the youngest, three years old, is still breastfeeding.

Jaleesa, another of the mothers who posed for the photo session, comments that with her first four children she was not able to have a successful breastfeeding, but that with her fifth baby it has been totally different, thanks to the fact that she kept trying with each of her babies until it is achieved .

For her part, Angela, who homeschool and is the mother of four daughters, says that her last three breastfeeds have been successful, and that this has been largely due to the support she receives from her partner and her family .

In an interview for Love What Matters, Tara commented the following:

We all come from different places and have different views on life, but we all share a passion for normalizing breastfeeding. The bonding and support we have with each other makes our journey through motherhood even more special.

And it is precisely the message that these mothers reflect in the photo session in which they appear breastfeeding their children : each one is different, but they have in common supporting breastfeeding and helping it to normalize, as well as encouraging other mothers. to continue trying in case of obstacles.

Breastfeeding in children older than one year: breastfeeding from 12 months is not spoiling

The first thing that caused me doubt when writing the post was the title. I have often heard the terms prolonged breastfeeding to refer to children older than 12 months who are still nursing. Or breastfeeding in older children. And yet, I get the impression that these terms refer to something that is not normal, as if breastfeeding had to have a short duration or children beyond the age of 2 years were considered too old to breastfeed.

Breast cancer during breastfeeding: a difficult diagnosis to face

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in Spain. So far this year, 35,000 new cases have been diagnosed in our country according to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), and it is estimated that one in eight women will have breast cancer at some point in her life. However, it has a high survival rate: more than 90 percent overcome it or it becomes chronic, achieving a great quality of life.

My baby is very distracted while breastfeeding: why it happens and how to get...

During the first weeks of life, breastfed babies often only want to be at their mother's breast. The shots are long (practically one with another), the baby's movements are slow and calm, and the exchange of glances between mother and child is constant.

Mixed breastfeeding in twins: how to organize to feed two babies

The WHO recommends that babies under six months be exclusively breastfed. Mothers who have twins or fraternal twins are capable of producing milk for both of them, since we know that the greater the stimulation, the greater the production of milk; women in these cases can produce... up to 2 liters of milk a day!

Does your baby "tune in" to the nipple while nursing? Why does it do...

Does your baby play and touch the nipple that is free while he is sucking on the other one? This is a behavior popularly known as "tuning" (the child moves the nipple as if tuning a radio), and although it is completely normal and natural, it can be uncomfortable for some mothers.
