Since Modern Warfare we had been dragging the possibility of seeing how Verdansk was going to fry asparagus because of a nuclear bomb . However, we had to wait until Black Ops Cold War for the Warzone event to come true.
The Call of Duty Battle Royale has already experienced its first major event and, to be frank, the truth is that the result has left a lot to be desired. The destruction of the Warzone map has been relegated to a cinematic.
The Warzone nuclear bomb that has destroyed the map of Verdansk
With a preview that threw us to a map in which madness has taken over the gameplay, the rain of gases, zombies, Juggernaut armor and shotguns gave way to a countdown that, when reaching zero, gave way to the kinematics that you have on these lines.
While it is true that this is only the first of four phases that will continue to unfold today, it cannot be denied that we expected something much more spectacular than a cut to show a video .
Even less when we have already experienced in our own flesh a nuclear attack in a Call of Duty (it is still one of the best moments of the saga) and when direct competition has been taking place for years massive events with much more crazy tricks than a large explosion scale.
Then we leave you with a video in which to see how the game that led to the explosion of Verdansk has developed .
We will be attentive to what new surprises Warzone leaves us with the following stages that will be held during the day. We will see the final fireworks starting at 9:00 PM (03:00 PM EDT).
