The Tune Squad Show Their Skills In New Trailer For "Space Jam: New Legends"

Although the pandemic left us without many of the premieres that we should have been able to enjoy in 2020, the summer of this year will more than make up for that lack of cinema with great releases in a few months. One of those great stories will be the long-awaited continuation of the Looney Tunes story with Michael Jordan, Space Jam: New Legends . In this new film, Lebron James is in charge of leading the Tune Squad in the basketball game of the year. Knowing that the premiere (July 16) is just around the corner, Warner wanted to feed the hype of the fans with a new trailer.

In this preview we can see Lebron and his son Dom trapped in the digital world led by an evil artificial intelligence, played by Don Cheadle. If the king of basketball wants to free his son and family from that world, he will have to join forces with the Tune Squad ( which can also be eliminated as Cheadle says before the game ) to defeat the Goon Squad on the court, who like happened in the previous installment have the skills of several professional basketball superstars. These tough rivals will be able to make things difficult for the cartoons, however the trailer shows some of the skills or abilities of some members of the team that will stand up to the digital monsters. The new Lola Bunny is a true leader, the Tasmanian devil bounces the ball with some ease and the roadrunner creates a cloud of dust thanks to his speed. But the real star is the Coyote who, unwittingly achieves, thanks to an Acme ball shooter, to score several points, something badly coming out of the basket as always happens with his arch-enemy the roadrunner.

A game full of the stars of the Warner among the public

The first trailer of Space Jam: New Legends already showed the multiple cameos that this match would have among the public: The droogs of The Metallic Orange, the Agents of the Matrix, the King of the Night, The Stone Bites, the Yogi Bear and many more . In this trailer specifically, we can see, at the end of the first minute, the iron giant and Kong bumping their fists.

These guest stars will surely have their moments and shots, something that will lead us to the fun game of seeing who can find more cinephile references among that audience in the cinema. Will they somehow finally enter the game? Our inner child just wants Bill Murray to show up again …
