We are leaving behind 2021, a year marked by the pandemic and supply problems derived from incidents with semiconductors. Despite the delays in its manufacture, European manufacturers have not stopped presenting novelties that will arrive throughout 2022 . Many of them depend, and a lot, on those so-called “microchips”, semiconductor material structures that serve as electronic processors for devices such as mobiles, computers and also cars . A bottleneck that has not prevented the optimism of the firms, which have seen and will see their production capacity affected in the coming months. We have started with the bad news, but there are good news. Starting with the abundant number of novelties that await us in 2022, among which there is a lot of electric, SUV and some other performance model. Let’s get to know them.
Next year will be that of the consolidation of electromobility, not only in cars but also in motorcycles. The offer of electric scooters is on the rise and they are beginning to be a reasonable purchase also for the private user. But back to the topic that concerns us today: the cars of 2022 are characterized by their sustainable approach and low emissions. Just a few days ago we saw first-hand the future iX, BMW’s 100% electric SUV with up to 630 kilometers of autonomy in its xDrive50 version. Later will come the xDrive M60, the most hooligan and powerful variant with more than 600 hp of electric power. This SUV is just one example of the crossover taste that has swept the car market, being one of the segments with the most presence and new proposals for 2022.
For sports the Porsche Taycan GTS, with 598 hp, or the GT version of the Hyundai EV6 that we liked so much during the test and that will have 585 hp of power. From the Korean firms we also expect many proposals, such as the Ioniq 6, the saloon that will share technology with the futuristic Ioniq 5 or the Hyundai EV4 , the SUV that will do the same with the named Ev6. The usual firms such as Renault, which presented us the new Mégane E-Tech Electric a month ago or the Italian Alfa Romeo with its Tonale, one of the most anticipated SUVs of next 2022, will not be left behind.
