2016 has been a year full of security problems, as these do not stop increasing as technology advances by leaps and bounds in our lives. Despite this, many have been those who, despite the warnings and notorious security holes, have decided not to modify their weak passwords and risk being hacked.
A study by the security company Keeper has revealed in its annual report that they have analyzed more than 10 million passwords, the 25 passwords that are repeated the most and which, in turn, are the most ‘hackable’.
Unfortunately, the most popular password in the world is still ‘123456’ . Globally, this code number accounted for 17% of passwords.
One of the common factors of these weak or fragile passwords is that most are six characters or even less and at least 7 of them are among the 15 most used passwords.
The list of the least secure -and most used- passwords of 2016:

Strong passwords
The best and recommended thing to avoid regret is to choose an alphanumeric code, with uppercase, lowercase and special characters such as @ or #. Although it costs us a bit -at the beginning- to memorize a code of about 15 digits, we can sleep peacefully and feel a little more secure with our data. Enabling 2-Step Verification will be our next step.
