Tik Tok's viral video about the photos we keep of our first and subsequent babies

When the first baby arrives, a universe full of “first moments” opens up for us that we want to keep on our retina, in cell phone memories, in cameras and in albums forever . However, when the second one arrives, it seems that the parents relax a bit with the subject (let’s face it, we have less time and we are more tired), so we no longer go after the little one “capturing” everything he does. But what happens when the third arrives? A mother has decided to recreate it on TikTok in a simple way and apparently it has hit the nail on the head because it has quickly gone viral …

The mother in question is @mamaoliver, a girl who is very successful on this social network sharing and recreating moments of everyday life with her three little ones. In this particular video, she helps us visualize that moment in which our children ask us (if they haven’t already), for their baby photos:

I must admit that when I saw it the first thing I felt was an inevitable feeling of guilt. I am the typical mother who lost count of the photos and videos I made for my first daughter, but it is true that with the second, things have diminished. I melt watching it and I have already verified in my own flesh that this is going so fast, that sometimes I don’t know whether to run for the mobile, or enjoy its occurrences so that they remain etched in my mind . I confess that the latter happens more and more (although later I regret not having obtained a photographic record of the event in question).

Without a doubt, after this, I will get to work … I hope that the same thing that this mother does not happen to me!

The FOMO effect (Fear Of Missing Out) is defined as "the fear of missing something". And although it is a concept that has become relevant in recent years, it is nothing new. In the late 1990s, Dr. Dan Herman coined this term.

We live surrounded by technology and it is inevitable that this will be incorporated as one more tool in parenting. In addition to apps that help with things ranging from designing your baby's room to managing the calendar of children with separated parents, devices such as tablets, mobile phones or smart speakers are here to stay. Proof of this is the growing use of Alexa as a timer that children obey without question (or at least without protesting as much as their mother).

When they enter the stage of adolescence, there are many boys and girls who can become dramatic in situations that, for parents, do not have the same degree of importance. Thus, in day-to-day situations, they feel that the world is ending, or they live everything with great intensity.
