Krk / Los Angeles – Two women from Los Angeles were found in different places, without belongings and most importantly without memory. The events are reminiscent of a mystery novel and raise countless questions that have so far remained unanswered.
A woman was found exhausted on the island of Krk in Croatia on September 12, in a place she could not possibly have reached on her own. She has no memory and therefore doesn’t even know her own name. Your wallet is empty. After no suitable missing person report was found worldwide, the investigators put photos of the woman on the Internet. Finally, a woman from Los Angeles answers who claims to know the woman. The Süddeutsche Zeitung reports. Woman without a memory: investigators are puzzled
The work of the investigators seems to have ended for the time being. But with every piece of information that is discovered about the woman without memory, new questions arise. Adamcová is said to have emigrated from Czechoslovakia to the USA in 1984 to become a jewelry designer. Through her partner at the time, she then came into contact with actresses who wore her jewelry: including Barbara Streisand, Diana Ross and actresses from the TV series “Friends”.
In 2000 she returned to Slovakia – according to a newspaper article from 2008 from the archive of the Slovak newspaper MY Trenčín , with the help of which, among other things, her life was reconstructed. In 2008 she is said to have returned to the United States and become homeless. Nina Smidt, who had recognized Adamcová, told the news portal The Daily Beast that she had not been lucky, but that she was a “good worker” and “great person”.
Hardly accessible location of the woman without memory
According to Smidt, she came to an apartment and work in downtown Los Angeles through an aid organization for the homeless. There she found shelter for free and worked for Smidt in a co-working house. In 2015, according to information from the Süddeutsche Zeitung , she wanted to make a fresh start in Ireland. Apparently she returned to Slovakia from there and traveled to Croatia at the beginning of September *.
