Trailer for "Snake Eyes: The Origin", the spin off of the GI Joe franchise

It seems that Paramount Pictures got a taste for exploiting franchises over the years. From the consecrated Mission Impossible that is approaching 10 deliveries, through A Quiet Place, which surely has more than one additional film on track to the one that opens this month to Transformers. In relation to the latter, its agreement with Hasbro also produced the adaptation of the popular GI Joe action figures. This franchise provided the production company with 3 installments and once again turned to the brand to show the trailer for its next project, Snake Eyes: the origin. A spin off of the popular character and how he became a true hero, the story of Snake Eyes will plunge into his dark past, full of intrigue since in the productions of the franchise it is only known that he is a lethal fighter with mask. In this origin (how could it be otherwise) the swordsman appears without a helmet, something that increases interest in the reasons why the sinister helmet was finally placed.Snake Eyes: The origin is directed by the director of Red , Robert Schwentke and written by the screenwriter of the live action Beauty and the Beast. Henry Golding is the protagonist, while the cast also includes Andrew Koji, Úrsula Corberó, Samara Weaving, Haruka Abe, Tahehiro Hira and Iko Uwais. The trailer reveals an inexhaustible dose of action, combined with impossible stunts in a chase scene and Fight reminiscent of the scene with the trucks from Matrix Reloaded 2003.This story is revealed in the preview with a dark aesthetic (most of the sequences shown are nocturnal) of the birth of the hero known to all fans of the saga, showing at the end of the video the characteristic helmet that the protagonist will wear. The first installment obtained a somewhat limited collection for what its production cost (175 million compared to the 302 collected). For the second part, GI Joe: Revenge opted for a budget cut of 30 million that did not go too bad because they raised almost 80 million more than in the beginning of the franchise. It is possible that the saga ends up soaring by focusing on a character, however GI Joe does not seem to be one of the most profitable products that Paramount is betting on. This new film will arrive in most countries in July, and in Spain it will arrive on August 20.
