Visiting Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most famous Renaissance artists and figures in Italy, but people often don’t realize that his name comes from his birthplace, Vinci, a small town in Tuscany. Hence, his name is Leonardo de Vinci, where he was born in 1452. The town of Vinci has been awarded the Bandiera Arancione by the Italian Touring Club for its touristic qualities and atmosphere.
