That SUVs are in fashion is undeniable. This is demonstrated by sales, because in a market that has found itself in full recession in recent months, SUVs – along with sports cars – have become the only segment that has not stopped growing . In addition, utility vehicles and SUVs were also the ones that registered the most sales during the past year 2018, according to data from the automotive sector. Little by little, SUVs have become the favorite type of vehicle for families, always attracted by the spaciousness of the vehicle, the storage capacity, the adventurous style and, how could it be otherwise, the comfort to the time to drive.
Very aware of the current popularity of SUVs , which already represent 50% in our market, it is rare for the manufacturer that no longer offers several SUV proposals in its catalog. Volkswagen is clear about it, the customer must be offered exactly what they are looking for. Thus, after the Tiguan, the Touareg, the Atlas and the T-Roc, the German firm is committed to a new urban SUV, prepared to offer a dynamic, practical and efficient driving experience. In fact, although it shares many of its characteristics with the T-Roc, its characters present differences notable enough not to put them in the same bag. For starters, the T-Cross measures 12 cm less in length, 6 cm less in width and 1 cm less in height, making it an even more urban model than its bigger brother. With its attractive design, this SUV presents itself as a flexible model with countless additional customization possibilities.
Volkswagen, with the T-Cross, wants to offer the customer access to its SUV range without having to give up premium equipment that places it as a benchmark in this booming segment, offering a fun, functional, practical and flexible product.
The T-Cross, which shares the Volkswagen Group’s modular transverse platform (MQB) with the Polo , is manufactured at the Spanish plant in Navarra. The German brand will invest in this factory around 1 billion euros to compete in the growing segment of compact SUVs, which studies predict will continue to increase in the next ten years.
