"Wetten, dass …?" Returns on November 6th

The TV classic is being reissued once – with Thomas Gottschalk and Michelle Hunziker. Now the ZDF has announced the broadcast date for "Wetten, dass …?"

Mainz / Nuremberg – The date has now been set: The special edition of “Wetten, dass …?” Is to be broadcast on ZDF on November 6th. The Saturday evening show with moderator Thomas Gottschalk and Michelle Hunziker will be broadcast live from Nuremberg from 8.15 p.m.

"We have great bets, of course also a spectacular outside bet, national and international music acts and a couch full of big stars," announced ZDF entertainment director Dr. Oliver Heidemann on Monday. It is "not a look back, but a big family show with everything that has always made this show strong". Betting suggestions can still be submitted online, by email or post.

Gottschalk was supposed to host a one-time revival of the former ZDF ratings hit last November. Because of the corona pandemic, the show was postponed to this fall. So it comes on television a good 40 years after the first issue. On February 14, 1981, the show by inventor Frank Elstner was broadcast for the first time on ZDF, Gottschalk presented it from 1987 to 1992 and then from 1994 to 2011. dpa
