What do I put in the suitcase ?: This is the hand luggage that you can take according to each airline

This summer, despite the pandemic continuing to hit all countries globally due to the expansion of the Delta variant , it seems that flights and travel are going to become much more widespread than last year. As usual, airlines have strict travel policies and sometimes it is not very clear what hand luggage we can take and what we should pack.

So that our preparations are more bearable and we go with the precise idea of what we should put in each suitcase, we are going to detail a list with the main airlines that operate in Spain to be clear about how we will travel this summer 2021.

General requirements

In most companies, regardless of their rules to carry one or two packages as hand luggage, we must bear in mind that we cannot take everything in the cabin with us. We can take electronic devices with us, except for a drone.

To bring medicine, the important thing is to bring a medical receipt and if you are diabetic, you must inform the company when you get the ticket.

Utensils such as pocket knives, corkscrew, scissors or razor blades should be in the checked bag. If we do not check in, we cannot fly with them. Liquids of more than 100ml will be requisitioned at the control, so we must carry with less quantity and if possible, inside a transparent bag or a toiletry bag that we will show at the control.

Vueling

In Vueling hand luggage we can carry two pieces of luggage, but these must fit in the front seat. The measurements should be 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm for the suitcase and 35 cm x 20 cm x 20 cm for the bag or small backpack. In addition, we cannot exceed 10 kilograms in weight.

Ryanair

The maximum weight of our hand luggage must not exceed 10 kg and the measurements must be 55x40x20 for one of the bags and 35x20x20 for the additional bag. Keep in mind that Ryanair is very strict with hand luggage, if we are careless we may have to pay at the airport.

Iberia

They let us travel with a suitcase and a small bag without exceeding 10 kg and with measures of 56x45x25 cm. If you go with a baby, they allow you an additional wallet with the essentials for the little one.

EasyJet

We can only travel with a small 45x36x20 cm handbag, which must fit perfectly in the seat in front. There is no weight limit.

AirEuropa, AirFrance, Eurowings, KLM, Lufthansa

There is not much difference with these international companies. They allow a suitcase and a bag in the cabin with standard measures of 55x35x25 cm. In addition, according to each one, the weight ranges from 10 kilograms to 23 that British Airways allows us.
