Vulture, zamuro or iribú are the names by which the vulture Corag yps atratus is also known. It has black plumage and legs, a bare head, a hooked bill, long claws, and large wings. He lives between the southern half of the US and Argentina and Chile. It makes its nests between the hollows of the trees and the rocks, and lays in them from two to three eggs. Its presence is almost constant in small towns, near markets, slaughterhouses and fish markets. They lack a true "voice" and only emit a hiss. There is another similar species, the king vulture or Sarcorhamphus papa .
