Anthophobia or anthrophobia (from the Greek anthos , flower, and phobos , fear) is the name given to fear or repulsion towards flowers, while dendrophobia is the extreme fear of trees. Roberto Bolaño, the Chilean writer and poet, said in his book 2666 that both pathologies had "something romantic." The fear of plants in general is called botanophobia , and sometimes it is related to the irrational fear that the plants around us (especially the indoor ones) may consume too much oxygen.
Other phobias that affect the relationship with elements of nature are apiphobia or fear of bees, buffonophobia or extreme fear of toads and frogs, and ophidiophobia or fear of snakes.
