We already know that paraphilias represent patterns of sexual behavior in which the main source of pleasure is not found in sexual relations but in something else. In this case, the basoexia is focused on kisses.
In basoexia, orgasm or the fullness of the sexual act is only achieved through kisses. Thus, if there are no kisses during sexual practice, that person will have a negative or non-existent sexual response (lack of desire, for example). Without kisses there is no orgasm.
It is so important that people who suffer from basoexia are unable to find an erotic or sexual meaning to stimulation in any part of the body (even in the areas considered most erogenous) if it is not accompanied by kisses.
