According to a survey carried out by the American Psychological Association (APA, for its acronym in English), members of the generation baptized as Millennials, or generation Y, are the ones who live the most stressed today . These are people between the ages of 18 and 33, and their stress levels reach 5.4 on a scale of 10. Researchers consider that a stress level 3.6 is healthy, and that above this figure it is harmful. Furthermore, while for the rest of the generations the stress with respect to last year has decreased (from 5.2 to 4.9), almost 40% of the members of this generation claim to feel more stressed than ever in 2013.
Likewise, millennials also suffer more depression , with a rate of 19%, above 14% of adults of generation X (between 34 and 47 years of age), and 12% of members of the generation of "Baby Boomers" (aged between 44 and 66 years). Not forgetting that the anxiety indexes of millennials are double that of their parents. The APA survey also revealed that the most stressful issues at any age are work (76%), money (63%) and personal relationships (59%).
