At 460 Rodeo Drive, in Beverly Hills, The House of Bijan has stood since 1976, considered the most luxurious men's store in the world. Marble floors, fine carpentry and a crystal chandelier decorate this pompous space in the city of Los Angeles that combines quality, excellence, ostentation and exclusivity of its products. Simple socks can cost more than a hundred dollars (€ 90) , while a suit far exceeds € 20,000.
The boutique was founded by Iranian fashion and fragrance designer Bijan Pakzad , known simply as Bijan, who started out making seasonal collections and full pocket wardrobes very unique to California. Then he also dared with perfumes – his first bottle is priced above € 2,700 – and even reached agreements with Rolls-Royce – a firm with which he developed an exclusive collection of thirty cars based on the ideas of his clients – and Bugatti – released a limited edition of ten models, at prices of one to 1.5 million euros . Of course, you cannot pretend to enter the store directly.
Since its creation, on the façade a cartel indicates By appointment , that is, they only attend by appointment. It is a space for VIPs who have stepped on, among others, Obama, Tony Blair, Tom Cruise, Michael Jordan, Giorgio Armani or Carlos Slim. On average, it is estimated that whoever walks through its doors ends up spending about $ 100,000.
