According to a Canadian study from the University of Lethbridge published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior , women have more sexual fantasies at the most fertile times of their menstrual cycle , that is, while ovulating. To reach that conclusion, they conducted an experiment for thirty days with 27 single heterosexual women. And they found that in the three days surrounding ovulation, females have an average of 1.3 sexual fantasies per day , while the rest of the month recorded 0.77 sexual fantasies each day.
In addition, the volunteers admitted that while ovulating the fantasies were more exciting and more focused on emotions than on explicit sexual content compared to the rest of the month.
