A success story. This is how the first year of life of the Toyota Yaris Cross Electric hybrid can be described since, since its launch after the summer of 2021, it has already accumulated more than 100,000 units rolling on European roads. In its first six months on the market, between September 2021 and February 2022, the Yaris Cross Electric Hybrid added almost 50,000 units in Europe. And in the following five months, its rate of European registrations increased since it achieved the same figure in one month less, between February and July 2022. The success in Europe also has its translation to Spain, which adds up to 9% of the total of Yaris Cross Electric Hybrid registrations in the European market.
Thus, Toyota’s new electric hybrid SUV is already one of the preferred models by customers in the Spanish market , ranking every month among the three or four best-selling Toyota models and always among the most popular B-SUVs, with a market share close to 7%. Since its launch in September last year, more than 9,000 Yaris Cross Electric Hybrid units have been registered in Spain. The monthly rhythm has remained constant since it landed on the Spanish market, since once it reached its commercial rhythm, around 1,000 Yaris Cross Electric Hybrid units are registered in Spain every month. And those figures have allowed Yaris Cross Electric Hybrid to position itself as the leader in the B-SUV segment among private customers so far this year. These data, both at European and national level, certify that Toyota’s proposal for the B-SUV segment is the right one, due to design, engine, technology and equipment.
