The frequency in the relationships of young people does not seem to be affected by their anthropometric parameters , that is, neither by their weight or their height, according to a recent study carried out by Hungarian researchers and published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine .
For their study, the experts had 531 participants, all of them heterosexual men between the ages of 20 and 54 . The volunteers were measured for their height, weight, body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference. In the same way, the participants completed a questionnaire on how many times a week they had sexual intercourse and also other questions about medications, health or lifestyle habits such as smoking, drinking alcohol or practicing some physical exercise.
The results showed that on average, men had sex two and a half times a week, with those aged 25-29 having sex most frequently , three times a week. In addition, the men who had the least striking anthropometric characteristics, that is, measuring less than 1.75 centimeters, weighing less than 78 kilograms and with a normal waist circumference, were the ones who most frequently had sexual encounters.
The researchers concluded that, in general, none of the body measurements was associated with the amount of sexual activity among men , so that the physical is not as decisive a variable as was believed.
