Galileo Galilei is perhaps one of the historical figures who did the most for science during the Renaissance. From a very young age, Galileo’s father wanted him to be a doctor, but the young Galilei showed interest in other disciplines. He focused on mathematics and began to follow the postulates of classical philosophers such as Pythagoras, Plato or Archimedes.
