ADAC expects traffic jams on the weekend

The streets should be full again this coming weekend. The ADAC has published its traffic jam forecast.

Munich – The summer holidays are coming to an end soon in some other federal states. The ADAC is therefore expecting a larger wave of return trips this coming weekend. The journey home from the summer vacation will probably not go off without disruption in many places, according to the ADAC traffic jam forecast.

In Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Hesse, the last 14 summer vacation days have begun this year. Accordingly, the ADAC expects increased return traffic to these federal states – and corresponding traffic jams.

The traffic in the direction of vacation areas, on the other hand, is already noticeably reduced. In view of the large number of home tourists, there is still a risk of traffic jams on the access roads to the excursion areas – including, above all, the mountain and lake landscapes and also the coasts.

The classic tourist routes Tauern, Fernpass, Brenner, Karawanken, Rheintal and Gotthard routes as well as the highways to and from the Croatian and French coasts and mountain regions should also have great potential for traffic jams. dpa
