“Fast food” and “Blue light menu”: The police in Mettmann have come up with something special to increase the fines.
Mettmann – The police in Mettmann, North Rhine-Westphalia, declared the higher road fines applicable from Tuesday with a catalog of fines in the form of a menu.
“Dear guests, you have probably already noticed that we had to adjust our prices,” the police ironically advertised on Twitter. The offer on the virtual fine card ranges from “Quick meals – 16 km / h too fast in town – 70 euros” to “New dishes – Emergency road – up to 320 euros”.
Dear guests, you have probably already noticed that we had to adjust our prices. The current situation is also bothering us – so please stay loyal to us! Here is our new menu. Bon appetit – your team from the # PolizeiME👮 pic.twitter.com/lD3yXjNt3v

Under “Stop and eat”, the officials list the “classic” wrong-way parking – 35 euros, they say, but many extras are possible – for example parking on sidewalks or bike paths for 55 euros. The “blue light menu” is offered as a specialty – parking in the fire brigade entrance. If ambulance vehicles are disabled, this already costs 100 euros.
The map also contains a small mistake – it falsely threatens a point in Flensburg if the speed limit is exceeded between 16 and 20 kilometers per hour in urban areas. But that only occurs at even higher speeds. “No menu without a typo,” commented a police spokesman unmoved. dpa
