From Versace and breast pump: the shocking photograph of actress Rachel McAdams expressing milk during a photoshoot

Despite the fact that breastfeeding is a natural and beautiful act, there are still many people who look at it as something sexual and offensive. Fortunately and with the growing use of social networks, today it is common to see many famous mothers share images related to breastfeeding, in order to show how normal it is and remember that they, like millions of women, they are also mothers .

Now, actress Rachel McAdams has joined the list of famous mothers who touch on the subject of breastfeeding , showing up with a breast pump during a photoshoot and dressed in Versace .

Probably most remember the actress Rachel McAdams for her appearance in the romantic film “Noa’s diary” or the acclaimed “Spotlight”, but those who do not know her without a doubt after this photograph will remember her by becoming one of the celebrities who comes together to support breastfeeding.

Captured by the lens of photographer Claire Rothstein, the 40-year-old actress took part in a photoshoot six months after having her first child . She commented in an interview for Today Parents that she had been hoping to become a mother for a long time, but is happy that things turned out that way.

The shocking photograph of the actress dressed in Versace while using a breast pump has caused a stir on social networks after the photographer posted it on her Instagram account. According to her account, the actress was working and between each feeding she expressed milk or breastfed her baby who accompanied her during the session.

A million reasons why I wanted to post this picture. Obviously #rachelmcadams looks incredible and was quite literally the dream to work with but also this shoot was about 6 months post her giving birth to her son, so between shots she was expressingpumping as still breastfeeding. We had a mutual appreciation disagreement about whos idea it was to take this picture but Im still sure it was hers which makes me love her even more. Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world and I cant for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon or scared of. I dont even think it needs explaining but just wanted to put this out there, as if it even changes one persons perception of something so natural, so normal, so amazing then thats great. Besides shes wearing Versace and @bulgariofficial diamonds and is just fucking major. Big shout out to all the girls

There are a million reasons why I wanted to publish this photo. Obviously it’s because Rachel McAdams looks amazing and it was literally a dream to work with her, but this photo shoot was also done when she was about six months after giving birth to her son, so between takes she was expressing milk and also breastfeeding her baby.

Appreciating each other, we couldn’t agree on whose idea it was to take this picture, but I’m still sure it was his idea, which makes me love her even more. Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world and I can’t imagine how or why it is something that people frown on or freaked out about.

I don’t even think I need to explain it, but I wanted to post this picture out there, so if this changes some people’s perception of something so natural, so normal, and so incredible, then it will be great. Also, she’s wearing Versace and Bulgari diamonds, so this is a great thing. A big recognition to all the women.

Explanatory note: I didn’t look that fabulous for a second while pumping or breastfeeding. And that’s okay too.

The photograph of Rachel pumping and posing for a fashion shoot in designer clothes has left no one indifferent and millions of people have applauded her statement in favor of breastfeeding.

But not only that. It also reminds us that all women, famous or not, when we become mothers we look for a way to balance or combine our new role with our professional life, and it is also a sample of how powerful we are and everything we are capable of doing. .

Photography has already exceeded 20,000 likes on Instagram and has been flooded with positive comments that applaud the initiative. Rachel McAdams is certainly not the first (and we hope not the last) celebrity to publicly show her support for breastfeeding and to remind us that they too are mothers , perhaps with very different jobs than most, but Ultimately they go through experiences similar to us.

On previous occasions we have seen other celebrities revolutionize the networks by supporting breastfeeding , such as Gisele Bundchen breastfeeding her baby while getting ready for a work event or the model Lorena Van Heerde breastfeeding during a photo shoot, as well as the actress Olivia Wilde or model Natalia Vodianova.

Breastfeeding in children older than one year: breastfeeding from 12 months is not spoiling

The first thing that caused me doubt when writing the post was the title. I have often heard the terms prolonged breastfeeding to refer to children older than 12 months who are still nursing. Or breastfeeding in older children. And yet, I get the impression that these terms refer to something that is not normal, as if breastfeeding had to have a short duration or children beyond the age of 2 years were considered too old to breastfeed.

During the first weeks of life, breastfed babies often only want to be at their mother's breast. The shots are long (practically one with another), the baby's movements are slow and calm, and the exchange of glances between mother and child is constant.
