One of the most frustrating things during confinement is not being able to hug and kiss those we love the most, and more especially for grandparents not being able to do it with their grandchildren born in times of coronavirus. The way to know them is from a distance, either by video calls or as in this case, through a cold window .
It is a most moving image that makes us cry at the moment we are living. The photo was shared on Twitter by the baby’s aunt, and in it you can see his brother holding the little Faolán in his arms, while his father looks at him sadly through the glass.
Next to the photo you can read the message: “Three generations of social distance when my father sees his grandson for the first time.”

The image that quickly went viral was taken in Ireland , where, due to the social distancing measure to prevent infections, Michéal Gallachoir approached the window of her son’s house near hers to meet her newborn grandson.
Grandparents meeting grandchildren: a sad reality
It is very frustrating that your parents cannot meet your son or daughter on the day they are born, or during the following days, without knowing when they will be able to meet for the first time.
One of the most important moments in life, the one in which a grandfather meets his grandson for the first time, takes him in his arms, looks at him and kisses him, is being clouded by the pandemic that we are going through all over the world.
The coronavirus has changed the way we interact, there is no doubt. But this will one day end, and grandparents and grandchildren will finally be able to meet in person . Now is the time to take care of ourselves, take care of our children and take care of the elderly so that they have many years ahead to enjoy their grandchildren.
