This Friday the first day of the 2022 F1 Austrian GP was held, with a sprint format, which meant that we had only one free practice session but, in return, a classification that decides the starting order for Saturday’s race (yes , there is a race on Saturday, although at sprint).
And this intense Friday has left us with emotion (Verstappen achieved pole by just thousandths over Leclerc and Sainz), accidents (the two Mercedes of Hamilton and Russell went off the track in Q3) and much more. For example, many laps deleted for exceeding track limits, or a problematic Friday for the McLarens, who will start 15th and 16th after falling one in Q1 and the other being last in Q2.
And until the exciting F1 Saturday at the Red Bull Ring arrives… look out for the best photos of the day!
