After what was seen in the three free practice sessions and qualifying, this Sunday’s race seems very exciting with the fight between Ferrari and Red Bull Racing. The Italians come out in front with Charles Leclerc, who will have to defend himself against Sergio Pérez and Max Verstappen, but will have Carlos Sainz behind him, fourth, so that the strategic battle is 2 vs 2.
As first of the rest, already established in that almost eternal fifth place, will be George Russell, who will share third row with a furious Pierre Gasly after the renewal of Pérez and who overtook Lewis Hamilton. In fact Mercedes and AlphaTauri seemed to be on a similar level, and in fourth row alongside Hamilton will be Yuki Tsunoda.
The fifth row will be formed by two world champions currently in teams in the middle zone, Sebastian Vettel, ninth with Aston Martin Racing, and Fernando Alonso, tenth with Alpine, both managing to qualify for Q3 while their teammates were left out.
In fact, after an accident that stopped qualifying, Lance Stroll will have to come back from the last position on the circuit where he achieved his first podium (a third place after being overtaken on the last straight by Valtteri Bottas).
Out of the points but close to the top 10, orange McLaren cars will form the sixth row of the grid, with Lando Norris ahead of Daniel Ricciardo. Those from Woking seem to have configured a very fast car on the straight that will have to be taken into account in Sunday’s race.
