Mercedes team drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell visited Malaysia a few days ago as guests at the event organized by their main sponsor, Petronas. In the Asian country there is a great motorsport tradition thanks to the celebration of 19 editions of the grand prix held at the Sepang circuit , despite the fact that it fell off the calendar in 2017.
During the trip, the seven-time champion sat down on a plastic stool to take a short break, and shortly after his stay in the Southeast Asian territory, an advertisement appeared on a local website that said plastic piece of furniture was for sale.
In the Says.com post you can see how Lewis Hamilton was enjoying a break in the middle of a recording, and someone took the opportunity to put it up for sale specifying that he wrapped the stool to “preserve the freshness” of the “butt prints” the seven-time Formula 1 world champion driver.
On the Shopee website, the sale announcement appears from 2,888 Malaysian ringgit , which is equivalent to about 650 euros , for a plastic stool on which Lewis Hamilton sat. Shortly after this surfaced online, the seat has found a buyer, as the person selling it indicated that it was booked.
The identity of the new holder of the seat on which the Mercedes driver leaned for a few moments is unknown, but now he will be able to enjoy a collector’s item and boast of sitting in the same place as the most successful man in the highest category of motorsport .
