Around 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022, the FIA, the governing body of Formula 1, which is the highest category of motorsport, shared on its social networks some images with Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton and a toy car as protagonists, along with the message of “When We Were Young” (When we were young).
Quickly, the networks began to speculate about it and many fans speculated with a possible documentary about these two pilots. However, a few hours later, the FIA itself put an end to the speculation and explained what the publication was about.
Through another post on their social networks, the International Automobile Federation announced the premiere of a new documentary film created by themselves with the collaboration of the current Formula 1 drivers.
Younger or more experienced, the 20 drivers who make up the grid of the highest category of motorsport in 2022 will recount how their beginnings were in the motor world and, how could it be otherwise, they will explain how their trajectories were until they reached the Formula 1, telling their personal anecdotes and, in turn, remembering the best and worst moments of a stage that was ultimately crucial to their lives.
This was the FIA statement to announce the premiere of the new F1 movie
In the statement, the FIA explained that the phrase “When We Were Young” was the title of this documentary film and took the opportunity to leave another important message that reflects the philosophy of this film “Everything is possible if you chase your dreams” ( Anything is possible if you follow your dreams).
The most surprising of all was the release date, also confirmed in the publication. Since fans will be able to enjoy this new documentary next Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. (Spanish time), that is, in just a few days.
Although it is true that the trajectories of all the drivers until reaching Formula 1 have many similarities, such as karting, the lower categories and the enormous sacrifices that they must make at a very young age, the circumstances of each one were , are and always will be different, so the fact that each experience is unique makes this film gain special interest.
