Dorna, the promoter of the event, IRTA, the team association, and the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM), reached this agreement with the intention of facilitating the work of those in charge of the logistics of the championship, who have a challenge before them even greater than the one they had to face before the Argentine Grand Prix this year.
On that occasion, different breakdowns with two of the cargo planes that transport all the material caused the cancellation of all the activity on Friday, with the consequent alteration of the schedule.
This time, the seven days that separate the Aragón Grand Prix (September 18) and the one to be held in Motegi (September 25), have forced the parties involved to take care of their health, and have chosen to eliminate the first training.
In this way, the first Moto3 practice will take place at 1:15 p.m., followed by Moto2 (2:10 p.m.) and MotoGP (3:05 p.m.). In the case of the category of heavy motorcycles, the practice will be extended, and will last an hour and a quarter.
Despite this change, the schedule is still very tight. Once the race is over at Motorland , the teams will have to pack up, put all the material in the trucks and drive to Barcelona, from where they will depart by plane to Tokyo.
Once the planes land, all its contents will travel by road to Motegi, on a journey through narrow roads of more than two and a half hours.
The teams are expected to receive the boxes between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.
