Miller leads a touchdown in Germany marked by multiple crashes

The most cumbersome were the two by Pol Espargaró, especially the second, in which the Honda rider was thrown from his Honda and ended up hitting the ground violently as he passed through the first corner of the track.

Miller was the fastest in this first touchdown, although with a minimal margin (15 thousandths) over Pecco Bagnaia, his neighbor in the Ducati factory team workshop.

Third place went to Fabio Quartararo, who was less than a tenth of Miller’s time, and who was one of the drivers who completed the most laps (25).

Johann Zarco (fourth) placed the third Ducati within the first four places, although with only five thousandths of an advantage over Takaaki Nakagami (fifth), he was the best among the Honda riders, the day after receiving the approval of the doctors to dispute the grand prize, after the fall suffered in Montmeló.

Aleix Espargaró, second in the points table, finished sixth, ahead of Luca Marini (seventh) and Andrea Dovizioso (eighth). Jorge Martín, who underwent surgery immediately after the last race, finished ninth, two tenths off the lead, while Alex Márquez positioned himself tenth.

Of those who stayed out of the top ten, the 11th place of Maverick Viñales and the 13th of Joan Mir stand out. His Suzuki teammate, Alex Rins, another of the riders who showed up to this event at the Sachsenring, suffering a broken wrist after being hit by Nakagami at Montmeló, finished 19th, seven tenths off the lead.
