Portimao.- In the first completely dry practice session of the weekend, the warm-up session on Sunday morning, Fabio Quartararo was the fastest rider, leaving a time of 1.40.278 that no one could beat, despite attempts to Jack Miller with several fast laps that in the end only earned him to be second at 58 thousandths. Third was Marc Márquez who caught Aleix Espargaró’s wheel at the last minute to take time away from him, finishing the Aprilia rider fourth and with a good anger, which he made visible on the track by raising his hand to the Honda rider.
Alex Márquez, who is completing a very good weekend, finished fifth, ahead of Maverick Viñales and Joan Mir, the Suzuki rider who starts second on the grid and who aims to be one of those who will also fight for victory.
Brad Binder was eighth ahead of Andrea Dovizioso and Johann Zarco, the race poleman who finished tenth.
During the session Marco Bezzecchi crashed and, at the last minute and in the very fast last corner, Jorge Martín crashed without consequences for both.
Alex Rins, second in the World Championship, was 11th, but will start the race very late (23rd) as will Pecco Bagnaia, who will be able to race despite the blow to his shoulder suffered yesterday, who was 12th in the warm up and starts last on the grid
World Cup leader Enea Bastianini finished 13th, just ahead of Pol Espargaró. The one who did not take part in the session was the Spaniard Raúl Fernández, declared unfit after breaking his right hand in the fall suffered on Saturday in Q1.
