“Today’s strategy was mainly to save tires and manage the physical, especially in sector four. In the second part of the race I saw that things were going better, like in Qatar, but at the beginning I wasn’t so sure, at first Rins constantly wanted to pass me and I understood that I had to push hard and not reserve so much, that’s why I attacked from the middle of the race”, he explained.
“This is how I won the race and it was fantastic because I love this circuit and the public here”, he added.
The film of the race was very similar to that of Qatar, there he was second until the final part, when Pol Espargaró ran out of tires, and here he was able to overtake Jack Miller.
“Qatar was magnificent for Ducati, there are many straights and we took advantage of the power, but here it was also fast compared to other Ducati, I hope to be able to repeat results like this in the future, for now I will celebrate today”
For Enea, arriving in Europe after these four races away does not change the landscape much.
“In the races in Europe everything will be very close again”.
The young Italian was asked to explain his style and what he could still improve on.
“I enter the corners very quickly, especially when there is long braking, for now I go slower in the middle of the curve compared to Jack or Martín, I must improve in this aspect, they are different driving styles, but I must improve that point” .
He was also asked which of his two victories was the most important to him.
“I don’t know, all races are important to me, it’s a matter of accumulating points. The victory in Qatar was very special, I was able to dedicate it to Fausto, it was Gresini’s first, but for me personally today’s is better because it means that I am constant. In Argentina it was a strange weekend, but I feel normal. For me, today’s victory is more special”.
On the bike, Bastianini always seems to ride calmly and calmly, despite his great speed, as if it were easy for him.
“Mentally there is no easy race, at least for me. Now I know when I have to push hard, I’m very motivated with the bike and how it works”.
