Yes it exists. Frigore urticaria is also called, and is a skin reaction to exposure to cold stimuli such as wind, low temperatures, washing or immersion in cold water , contact with cold objects or ingestion of cold food or drinks . It manifests as acute outbreaks of reddish welts on the skin (or skin rash), which cause itching and other symptoms that may include fever, general malaise, headache, difficulty breathing, etc. The normal thing is that the spots on the skin appear after 10 to 30 minutes after the cold has stopped, that is, when the skin begins to regain its temperature. This pathology usually begins in adulthood , has a sporadic hereditary pattern, and usually resolves spontaneously in months or sometimes years.
The test most used to confirm the diagnosis of cold urticaria or allergy to cold is the "ice cube test" . It consists of applying ice to the patient's forearm for 5 minutes and after 10 minutes, observe if a reaction occurs.
