Márquez feasts on the MotoGP race in Austin

The Honda rider, who started from third place, was at the front of the peloton already in the first braking, and from that moment he tightened the rope and went away, at the speed of fast laps, until opening a gap that in the middle of race (lap 10) was already three seconds.

Fabio Quartararo, the unquestionable leader of the World Championship, took a giant step in his aspirations of becoming the first French MotoGP world champion, by securing a second place that was never at risk. His result and Pecco Bagnaia’s third place will give El Diablo the first match point to celebrate the match at the next round of the course, in Misano, in three weeks.

Bagnaia took advantage of the physical problems that befell Jorge Martín –basically in his right shoulder–, and even more so when the Spaniard cut one of the variants of the track and was penalized with a rodeo ( long lap penalty ).

Alex Rins took advantage of the moment in which Martín served the penalty, on the last lap, to overtake him and cross the finish line in fourth, just ahead of the Pramac team rider.

Enea Bastianini starred in a stellar Sunday to finish sixth, two weeks after climbing to the box in San Marino.

The seventh finished Joan Mir, who at no time was able to contact the group that played for the podium, but the current world champion in the last breath beat Jack Miller, in a maneuver that brought tail and for which he was sanctioned with a square – the one from Suzuki came into contact with the one from Ducati, who confronted him behind the checkered flag.

Brad Binder (9th) and Pol Espargaró (10th) closed the top ten , while Valentino Rossi took the last point (15th).
