It is a rather peculiar and mysterious female sexual problem , first described in 2001 and officially considered a sexual dysfunction since 2003. Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome (PGAD) is nothing more than a disorder. characterized by the presence of tension in the genitals accompanied by continuous excitement, without previously existing sexual desire.
Women with PGAD feel that their heart rate increases, their breathing speeds up, their pelvic muscles contract, and their body prepares for orgasm. However, it is an unwanted situation . Far from being pleasant, it is annoying, frustrating and uncomfortable, since it can occur in the most everyday situations: shopping, watching a movie or at work.
The situation of living permanently in a state of sexual arousal without wanting to , makes these women lose all interest in sexual relations since they often complain of pain during penetration, among many other things. Although this tension in the genitals does not always lead to an orgasm, the sensation of excitability does not disappear even if it reaches it.
